We are looking for a detail\-oriented and organised Accounts Executive – Store Operations \& Reconciliation to join our finance team at Knya. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of retail/store finance operations, daily reconciliation processes, cash handling, and store\-level accounting activities. This role acts as the financial custodian of store operations, ensuring that every rupee flowing through stores is accurately reconciled, reported, and accounted for on a daily basis. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast\-paced retail and D2C environment where accuracy and speed are equally important.
- *Roles and Responsibilities:**
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash collections across all store locations, ensuring every rupee is accurately accounted for every day.
- Coordinate with store managers to ensure daily cash handover processes are followed consistently and without exception.
- Verify cash deposits against collection reports and identify, flag, and resolve any variances on the same day.
- Monitor and reconcile PineLabs/card terminal settlements against actual card transactions and collection records.
- Track and report short collections, excess cash, and unresolved variances to the Finance Analyst on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely bank deposits of store cash collections and monitor that no idle cash remains at store locations.
- Maintain and manage petty cash floats across all store locations with proper documentation and controls.
- Process, verify, and reconcile petty cash expense vouchers while ensuring approvals and supporting documents are properly maintained.
- Reconcile petty cash balances at each store on a daily and weekly basis and proactively identify unusual or recurring patterns.
- Ensure petty cash replenishment requests are processed within approved limits and timelines.
- Receive, verify, and process all job work bills from store\-level vendors and contractors.
- Match job work bills against work orders, delivery receipts, and approved vendor lists before processing.
- Track pending job work bills and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and payment processing.
- Maintain a clean and organised job work register that is audit\-ready and easily retrievable when required.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on store collections, reconciliation status, variances, and pending items for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain store\-wise reconciliation files across all payment modes including cash, card, UPI, and other collection channels.
- Track and follow up on pending reconciliation items and ensure open items do not remain unresolved beyond 48 hours.
- Support month\-end and year\-end account closing activities by providing accurate and complete store\-level financial data within timelines.
- Maintain proper documentation standards to ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Support reconciliation of marketplace settlements across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and other online channels.
- Reconcile website payment gateway settlements by matching platform payouts against orders and remittances recorded in the books.
- Identify and flag short payments, settlement discrepancies, and unreconciled entries across marketplace and website channels.
- Coordinate with store managers, AP teams, banks, and internal stakeholders to resolve reconciliation and operational finance issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting procedures, and company policies across all store finance activities.
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification with 0–3 years of experience in accounts, store finance, retail finance, or retail operations.
- Hands\-on experience or exposure to retail/store\-level cash handling and reconciliation activities.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel including reconciliation sheets, variance tracking, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data management.
- Familiarity with Tally, Zoho Books, or any accounting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Reliable, disciplined, and comfortable working in a fast\-paced retail and store operations environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with store managers, AP teams, banks, and finance stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in resolving variances and pending reconciliation items on time.
- Exposure to marketplace settlement reconciliation across Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Myntra, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with website payment gateway reconciliation workflows and e\-commerce accounting processes.
- Understanding of retail operations finance and store\-level accounting processes.
- Experience working in a D2C, retail, or fast\-growing consumer brand environment.
- Ability to maintain audit\-ready documentation and organised reconciliation records.
- Exposure to GST reconciliation workflows is an added advantage.
