The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for the overall management of key customer accounts and will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. As part of the Client Services team, the KAM will ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and timely collection of outstanding receivables.
The role requires close coordination with customers, internal operations teams, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless shipment execution and compliance with applicable Customs and Allied Acts.**Key Responsibilities****Customer Relationship Management*** + Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned key accounts.
+ Build and maintain strong, long\-term client relationships.
+ Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders and decision\-makers.
+ Understand customer requirements and provide customized logistics and customs clearance solutions.
+ Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth within existing accounts.
+ Monitor key account performance against established KPIs and KRAs, including:
+ Timely shipment delivery
+ Zero late filings
+ Reduction and control of demurrage and detention
+ Regulatory compliance
+ Customer satisfaction
+ Revenue and profitability targets
+ Prepare quotations, contracts, service agreements, and related documentation.
+ Track and report key account metrics, monthly/quarterly performance, and annual forecasts.
+ Prepare periodic account status reports and business reviews.
+ Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant Customs notifications, policy changes, and compliance requirements to customers and internal teams.
+ Support customers in maintaining regulatory compliance and minimizing operational risks.
+ Develop and implement procedures that promote timely payments while maintaining strong customer relationships.
+ Ensure adherence to company credit and collection policies.
+ Work closely with finance and operations teams to reduce overdue debtors.
+ Present operational performance, compliance updates, and business improvement initiatives to customers and senior management.
+ Coordinate effectively with internal departments to ensure customer commitments are met.
