Labour Officer- Civil

• *Role Purpose**

The Labour Officer will be responsible for managing labour relations, contractor coordination, manpower availability, labour welfare, and discipline across all project sites. The role acts as the primary point of contact for all labour and contractual manpower matters and ensures smooth workforce operations in support of project execution.

The candidate should possess strong interpersonal, coordination, crisis\-handling, and field management skills with readiness to travel to project locations whenever required.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Labour Management at Site**

• Act as the primary point of contact for all labour\-related matters at project sites.
• Maintain labour discipline, attendance, productivity, and workforce engagement.
• Handle day\-to\-day labour concerns, disputes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure proper coordination between site supervisors and labour teams.
• Monitor labour deployment and workforce utilization as per project requirements.
• Conduct regular interactions with workers to maintain smooth site operations.
• Ensure timely resolution of labour issues to avoid project disruptions.

• *2\. Contractor \& Labour Sourcing**

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable labour contractors.
• Arrange skilled, semi\-skilled, and unskilled manpower as per project requirements.
• Maintain an updated database of labour contractors and manpower availability.
• Ensure timely mobilization and deployment of labour for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with contractors for urgent and emergency manpower requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, workforce quality, and labour availability.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with labour contractors and workforce suppliers.

• *3\. Labour Welfare \& Compliance**

• Ensure availability of basic labour welfare facilities at project sites and labour camps.
• Address emergency situations related to labour, worker welfare, safety, and accommodation.
• Support implementation and adherence to labour laws and statutory compliance requirements.
• Maintain records related to labour attendance, contractor manpower, worker documentation, and compliance.
• Coordinate with HR and project teams for labour documentation, verification, and record management.
• Assist in audits and inspections related to labour compliance.

• *4\. Coordination \& Reporting**

• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly manpower status reports to management.
• Highlight operational risks and concerns, including:
• Labour shortages
• Labour disputes
• Delays due to manpower issues
• Contractor\-related challenges
• Support project managers in workforce planning and manpower budgeting.
• Coordinate with HR, Administration, Procurement, and Project Teams to fulfill workforce requirements.
• Track labour productivity and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

• *5\. Site Visits \& Travel**

• Visit project sites regularly for labour monitoring and issue resolution.
• Travel to outstation project locations for short\-term and extended visits whenever required.
• Ensure labour camp discipline, welfare standards, and operational compliance during site visits.
• Conduct periodic reviews of labour conditions and contractor performance at project locations.

• *Experience**

* **5–10 years experience** in

• Factory HR / Labour Officer role
• Construction / infrastructure sites
• Manufacturing units with contract labour
• Experience handling **blue\-collar workforce at scale** is essential

• *Skills Required**

• Strong **people handling** and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage **unstructured labour environments**
• Practical knowledge of:
• Labour laws
• Contractor management
• Problem\-solving attitude with field orientation
• Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently

Pay: ₹300,000\.00 \- ₹480,000\.00 per year
