Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and result\-driven **Electrical Maintenance Engineer** to join our engineering team in Halol, Gujarat. In this role, you will lead, plan, monitor, and optimize electrical maintenance operations across all plant machinery, utilities, and automated equipment.

The primary mandate is to maximize plant equipment uptime (OEE), enforce robust technical governance, ensure statutory electrical safety standards, and execute structured continuous improvement initiatives in a modern manufacturing setup.

Key Roles \& Responsibilities

• *1\. Maintenance Planning \& Operational Execution**

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive (condition monitoring), and breakdown maintenance schedules for continuous plant operations.
• Manage, inspect, and troubleshoot core electrical systems: Transformers, HT/LT Panels, MCC/PCC, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), AC/DC Motors, DG Sets, Air Compressors, and auxiliary utilities.
• Ensure minimal operational disruption through systematic shift\-wise execution.

• *2\. Technical Governance \& Reliability Engineering**

• Perform comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5\-Why analysis on major breakdown events to establish corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and track plant maintenance KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, electrical downtime percentage, and OEE impact.
• Standardize engineering documentation, single\-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment technical manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and preventive maintenance checklists.

• *3\. Resource Allocation \& Spares Strategy**

• Allocate shift manpower, oversee plant maintenance technicians, and manage external technical contractors/vendors.
• Implement a structured spares management strategy (ABC/VED classification) to maintain optimum stock levels of critical electrical spares while controlling maintenance budgets.

• *4\. Projects, Safety, Energy Efficiency \& Workplace Systems**

• Spearhead installation, testing, commissioning, and retrofit projects for new equipment and panels.
• Monitor plant\-wide power consumption and execute power factor improvement and energy\-conservation initiatives.
• Drive 100% adherence to factory electrical safety standards, statutory compliance, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
• Enforce **5S (Kaizen)** practices across electrical sub\-stations, control panels, and the engineering workshop floor.

Candidate Profile \& Qualifications

• **Education:** B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
• **Experience:** 5 to 10 years of hands\-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a reputed manufacturing or engineering facility (MNC/Tier\-1 plant environment preferred).
• **Technical Skills:**
• In\-depth knowledge of HT/LT distribution networks, transformers, and switchgear.
• Strong working proficiency in VFD programming, PLC/Automation hardware, relay logic, and control loops.
• Proven capability in electrical troubleshooting and schematic diagram reading.
• **Methodologies \& Standards:** Practical understanding of RCA, CAPA, FMEA, TPM principles, and 5S/Kaizen.
• **Competencies:** Strong leadership and team supervisory capability, inter\-departmental communication, vendor coordination, and commitment to environmental health and safety (EHS).
