Job Summary
We are looking for an **Mechanical Engineer** experienced in **Data Center** projects with 5–8 years of hands\-on experience to join our design team.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical infrastructure of the data center, including HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, CRAC/CRAH units, Cooling Towers, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, and BMS integration. You will work closely with Electrical, IT, and Structural teams to deliver a reliable, sustainable, and scalable facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review mechanical systems for data center facilities (HVAC, precision cooling, humidification, ventilation).
- Perform heat load calculations, CFD analysis, and airflow management for high\-density server racks.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment: Chillers, AHUs, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, cooling towers, etc.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute TIER III/IV, BIS, NBC, NFPA).
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, testing, and commissioning (FAT, SAT).
- Oversee MEP integration and interface with BMS/EPMS/SCADA systems.
- Conduct value engineering and optimize systems for energy efficiency (PUE optimization).
- Support risk assessments, HAZOP, and failure mode analysis for mechanical systems.
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, and handover phases.
- Prepare technical documents, drawings, RFIs, method statements, and as\-built documentation.
Requirements \& Qualifications
- **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech). Master’s degree preferred.
- **Experience:** Minimum 5\+ years in Mechanical design and execution, with at least 2–3 years specifically in **Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities**.
- Precision cooling systems and containment solutions
- Chilled water and DX systems
- Hot/Cold aisle containment and liquid cooling technologies
- Fire suppression (NOVEC 1230, FM\-200, Inergen)
- Plumbing, drainage, and diesel generator fuel systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or other HVAC design software.
- Experience with BIM coordination (Navisworks) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with LEED / IGBC Green Building standards is desirable.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem\-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in Data Centers, multi\-building or similar projects in India/ Middle East.
- Certified in Data Center Design (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent).
- Experience working on hyperscale or colocation data center projects
