Job Summary
The MEP Engineer shall be responsible for the execution, supervision, coordination, quality control, testing, and commissioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and related services at the project site. The role requires close coordination with civil, architectural, and finishing teams to ensure timely and quality completion of MEP works in luxury residential villas.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecution \& Supervision
- Supervise day\-to\-day MEP construction activities at site.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Monitor installation of electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, HVAC (if applicable), and utility services.
- Ensure MEP works are completed in line with construction schedules.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, and interior teams to avoid execution conflicts.
- Resolve site\-related technical and coordination issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews with contractors.
Quality Control
- Ensure quality of workmanship and materials used in MEP installations.
- Conduct inspections and maintain quality checklists.
- Verify compliance with approved shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure snag\-free handover of MEP services.
Contractor Management
- Supervise MEP contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor manpower deployment and productivity.
- Verify measurements and contractor billing quantities.
- Ensure timely completion of contractor activities.
Material Management
- Review material requirements and coordinate procurement.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Ensure approved materials are used at site.
Testing \& Commissioning
- Plan and supervise testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure successful operation of all MEP systems before handover.
- Coordinate preparation of as\-built drawings and handover documentation.
Safety \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Conduct inspections to identify and rectify unsafe practices.
- Ensure installations comply with applicable standards and statutory requirements.
Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track work progress against project schedules.
- Report delays, technical issues, and resource requirements to Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional MEP\-related certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in MEP execution for residential, villa, group housing, or hospitality projects.
- Experience in luxury residential construction preferred.
- Experience in hill\-area projects will be an added advantage.
