Network Engineer Intern

• *About the Role**

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Network Engineer Intern to join our IT team. The intern will assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure while gaining hands\-on experience in networking technologies, system administration, and IT operations.**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor network performance and identify connectivity issues.
• Support troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wi\-Fi, VPN, and internet\-related problems.
• Assist in maintaining network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
• Help configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and network access.
• Participate in network security monitoring and implementation of security policies.
• Support server, cloud, and data center networking activities as required.
• Assist the IT team in hardware and software deployment projects.
• Respond to basic IT support tickets and resolve user issues.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and best practices.

• *Required Qualifications**

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics \& Communication, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing, and Switching.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

• *Preferred Skills**
• -------------------

• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, or similar networking equipment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security concepts.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
