Assessment Strategy \& Governance
- Lead the overall assessment function across TPSDI centres and projects
- Define assessment strategies, frameworks, policies, and operational standards
- Ensure alignment of assessments with competency standards, industry expectations, and
regulatory requirements
- Drive standardisation, quality, transparency, and integrity in assessment processes
Assessment Operations
- Plan and manage end\-to\-end assessment operations including scheduling, deployment,
execution, evaluation, and result declaration
- Coordinate with centres and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of assessments
- Ensure timely availability of assessors, tools, and assessment resources
- Monitor adherence to timelines, SOPs, and quality standards
Assessment Design \& Review
- Collaborate with SMEs, Academics, Content, and Corporate Safety teams for development and
review of assessment frameworks and question banks
- Ensure assessments adequately evaluate theoretical understanding, practical skills,
behavioural competencies, and safety orientation
- Conduct periodic review and updating of assessment tools to align with evolving technologies,
regulations, and industry practices
- Introduce innovative and technology\-enabled assessment methodologies wherever
appropriate
Assessor Management \& Capability Building
- Build and maintain a pool of internal and external assessors on an honorarium basis
- Coordinate Training of Assessors (ToA) programmes for assessor capability building and
standardisation
- Evaluate assessor performance and maintain assessment quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with Tata Power business units and external experts for strengthening assessor
capability and domain expertise
Data Analytics \& Insights
- Analyse assessment performance data across centres, courses, trainers, and candidate groups
- Conduct causal analysis of assessment outcomes and identify trends, gaps, and improvement
opportunities
- Develop actionable insights and improvement recommendations for training delivery,
curriculum, and operational effectiveness
- Present periodic MIS, dashboards, and analytical reports to management
Feedback \& Continuous Improvement
- Collect and analyse candidate feedback, trainer feedback, and assessor observations
- Work closely with training and operations teams to improve learning effectiveness and
assessment outcomes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through structured review mechanisms and data\-
driven interventions
External Coordination \& Representation
- Coordinate with NSDC, NCVET, Sector Skill Councils, and other partner organisations on
assessment\-related matters
- Support compliance and alignment with national skilling frameworks, guidelines, and quality
requirements
- Represent TPSDI in internal, industry, regulatory, and national forums related to assessments,
skilling, and competency development
- Participate in technical discussions, audits, workshops, and stakeholder engagements related
to assessment systems and quality standards
Technology \& Process Excellence
- Drive use of digital tools and technology platforms for improving assessment efficiency,
accuracy, transparency, and integrity
- Strengthen process orientation, audit readiness, documentation, and quality compliance
across assessment operations
- Ensure confidentiality and security of assessment systems, question banks, and evaluation
processes
Desired Profile
Education
- Graduate in any discipline
- Master’s degree in management (MBA preferred, preferably HR)
Experience
- 10–12 years of overall experience in managing operations related to:
o IT / ITES
o Educational institutions
o Assessment operations
o HR / Administration
o Skill development ecosystem
Experience in competency\-based assessment systems, vocational education, or large\-scale
operations management will be preferred.
