Job Description

Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and adherence to brand standards. The role involves managing multiple departments, driving revenue, controlling costs, maintaining service quality, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food \& Beverage, Engineering, Security, and other operational departments.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service quality.
  • Monitor departmental performance through regular reviews and operational audits.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure smooth inter\-departmental communication and execution.
  • Implement and maintain brand standards, SOPs, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints promptly and ensure effective resolution.
  • Monitor occupancy, ARR, RevPAR, banquet business, and operational KPIs to maximize profitability.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets while controlling departmental expenses.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, fire \& life safety norms, hygiene standards, and company policies.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop departmental teams through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with Sales \& Marketing to support room, banquet, and F\&B revenue generation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum **6–10 years** of experience in hotel operations, with at least **2–3 years** in a managerial role.
  • Experience in **4\-Star or 5\-Star hotels** is preferred.
  • Strong exposure to Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food \& Beverage Operations.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in PMS, POS, MS Office, and hotel operational software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in **pre\-opening hotels** will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates from reputed hospitality brands such as Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, IHG, Accor, Radisson, Taj, ITC, Lemon Tree, or similar hotel chains will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of luxury or upscale hospitality operations.
