Position: People and Culture Manager, based at the School Group Office in Mallasandra, with regular visits to all campuses.

Reports to: Deputy Director, with a secondary reporting line to the campus Principals

About the role

You will own the people function for the whole group. You will set the standards, calendar and systems for recruitment, onboarding, development, wellbeing, employee relations and compliance across campuses. Each campus has its own People \& Culture Lead, a colleague from the campus’s own staff, and you will coach them and work with them as one team. You will also be a trusted partner to Principals and school leaders. Most of the job is making sure good practice is the same on every campus and does not depend on one person.

Key responsibilities

· **Campus network:** Guide and support the People \& Culture Lead on each campus, and keep practice consistent across campuses.

· **Hiring:** Plan manpower and run fair, timely recruitment, with every safeguarding and qualification check complete before an appointment is confirmed.

· **Onboarding:** Design a warm, structured induction and settling\-in plan for every new joiner.

· **Growth and learning:** Run the yearly Growth \& Development Culture (GDC) cycle under KATALYST, and make sure every educator completes Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements outlined by the school and also NEP 2020\.

· **Culture and wellbeing:** Bring the SKCH values to life, run staff surveys and recognition, and look after staff wellbeing and workload.

· **Employee relations:** Handle concerns fairly and confidentially, support the code of conduct, and escalate safeguarding matters immediately.

· **Policy and compliance:** Maintain HR policy, keep the group compliant with employment, board and safeguarding requirements, and keep records audit\-ready.

· **People data:** Keep people data accurate and report to Management on vacancies, attrition and completion.

What we’re looking for

· An MBA in HR, or a postgraduate degree in HR, Personnel Management or Industrial Relations.

· 5 to 7 years of HR or People \& Culture experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a school or other educational institution.

· Working knowledge of the CBSE Affiliation Bye\-Laws, NCTE norms, labour laws (PF, ESIC, gratuity), POSH, POCSO and NEP 2020\.

· Comfort with HRMS and ERP systems and MS Excel.

· Fluent English, with Kannada and/or Hindi, to work with staff across campuses.

· Integrity, fairness, strict confidentiality, empathy and calm judgement, with a genuine partnership approach to working with Principals and campus colleagues.

· Willing to travel between campuses and to work beyond normal hours at peak periods.
