### **Key****Result****Area****1:****Plant****Operations**

  • *Objective:** Execute desk operations and supervise field operational activities to ensure smooth operation of all plant equipment and uninterrupted, quality power supply to internal customers.
  • *Supporting****Actions:**
  • Continuously monitor all critical operating parameters through DCS and identify deviations for immediate corrective action.
  • Maintain operational log sheets, checklists, records, and shift reports accurately.
  • Coordinate closely with field operators to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
  • Conduct regular field inspections to verify equipment health and operational status.
  • Optimize boiler performance by controlling excess air, reducing heat losses, and maintaining efficient combustion.
  • Monitor and optimize turbine operating parameters to achieve minimum turbine heat rate.
  • Take prompt actions during emergencies in coordination with Shift In\-Charge and Operation Engineers.
  • Ensure efficient operation of boilers on various fuel combinations such as Lignite, Coal, and Pet Coke.
  • Maintain SOx, NOx, SPM, and other emissions within prescribed statutory and environmental limits.
  • Monitor plant load, generation, steam parameters, and auxiliary systems to achieve operational targets.
  • Ensure uninterrupted and reliable power generation while maintaining operational efficiency.

### **Key****Result****Area****2:****Shift****Management**

  • *Objective:** Effectively monitor all operational activities during shift and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
  • *Supporting****Actions:**
  • Monitor operational parameters and identify abnormalities for timely corrective actions.
  • Report process deviations, equipment abnormalities, and operational concerns to the Shift In\-Charge.
  • Coordinate with field operators during normal and emergency operating conditions.
  • Verify completion and accuracy of field operators’ checklists, log sheets, and shift records.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of all standby equipment for emergency use.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in assigned operational areas, including turbine and auxiliary systems.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between operation, maintenance, and utility teams.
  • Support startup, shutdown, and load variation activities as per standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and best practices during shifts.

### **Key****Result****Area****3:****Safety,****Health,****Environment****(SHE)****\&****Sustainability**

  • *Objective:** Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and sustainability requirements while achieving zero\-harm operations.
  • *Supporting****Actions:**
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all safety standards, procedures, permits, and statutory requirements.
  • Educate employees and contract workmen on job hazards, risk controls, and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct scheduled Safety Observation (SO) rounds and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and reinforce Safe Work Practices (SWP) before commencement of critical jobs.
  • Participate actively in safety trainings, safety committees, standard champion meetings, and safety campaigns.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and identify unsafe conditions for immediate corrective action.
  • Monitor and prevent wastage of power, water, oil, fuel, and compressed air.
  • Promote environmental protection and sustainability initiatives across the department.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices both at worksite and offsite locations.
  • Create awareness among employees and contractors regarding conservation of natural resources.
  • Support the objective of Zero Fatality and Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI).

### **Key****Result****Area****4:****System****Management****\&****Continuous****Improvement**

  • *Objective:** Ensure effective implementation of IMS and other management systems while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • *Supporting****Actions:**
  • Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO, EMS, and other applicable management system requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of safety precautions during critical activities such as working at height, boiler maintenance, and sea water pump maintenance.
  • Implement improvement projects to eliminate repetitive operational issues, breakdowns, and losses.
  • Submit Kaizens, OPLs, Good\-to\-Fine observations, and improvement suggestions regularly.
  • Develop and sustain Model Areas in assigned sections.
  • Actively participate in KFA, GRT, review meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for adoption of new technologies, innovations, and productivity enhancement measures.
  • Conduct awareness programmes for team members on system requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure closure of non\-conformities identified during internal and external audits.
  • Implement SOPs related to critical spares and consumables management.
  • Identify leakage points, unsafe conditions, and operational losses and ensure timely rectification.
  • Monitor environmental emissions and ensure corrective actions for any deviations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in plant reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
