The Planning Manager is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing project schedules and planning deliverables during the tendering stage for commercial interior fit\-out projects. The role involves developing detailed project timelines using Microsoft Project (MSP), analyzing project scope, identifying critical activities, resource planning, and supporting the tender team with accurate project execution strategies. The position plays a key role in improving bid competitiveness by ensuring realistic project schedules, risk assessments, and execution methodologies are incorporated into tender submissions.
Prepare detailed tender\-stage project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP) for commercial interior fit\-out projects.
Develop project execution plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource loading, and project timelines.
Analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements to establish planning parameters.
Identify project risks, critical paths, milestones, and mitigation strategies during the bidding stage.
Coordinate with estimation, procurement, design, contracts, and project teams to gather inputs for tender planning.
Prepare manpower histograms, cash flow projections, procurement schedules, and material delivery plans.
Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans aligned with project requirements.
Support technical bid submissions with planning documents, presentations, and project schedules.
Conduct schedule analysis and benchmark project durations based on previous project data and industry standards.
Assist management in evaluating project feasibility, timelines, and resource requirements during bid reviews.
Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and project delivery commitments.
Any other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
PMP, Primavera, or Project Planning certifications will be an added advantage.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial interior fit\-out projects.
Strong experience in tender planning and pre\-construction scheduling.
Hands\-on expertise in Microsoft Project (MSP) is mandatory.
Experience in preparing tender schedules, resource plans, and project execution strategies.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams during the tendering process.
