The Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head – E\-Waste Recycling will be responsible for leading and managing the complete E\-Waste Recycling business vertical. The role encompasses business strategy, plant operations, feedstock procurement, sales and marketing of recovered materials, financial performance, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and expansion initiatives.
The incumbent will drive profitability, operational excellence, market growth, and sustainable business development while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Leadership \& Strategy
- Develop and execute short\-term and long\-term business strategies for the E\-Waste Recycling division.
- Establish annual business plans, revenue targets, profitability goals, and growth roadmaps.
- Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
- Drive capacity enhancement and technology adoption to improve competitiveness.
P\&L Management
- Own complete Profit \& Loss (P\&L) responsibility for the business unit.
- Monitor revenues, operational costs, margins, and cash flow.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve business objectives.
- Implement cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Feedstock Procurement \& Supply Chain
- Develop sourcing networks for e\-waste procurement across corporates, OEMs, PROs, government agencies, institutions, and bulk consumers.
- Establish long\-term supply agreements and collection channels.
- Ensure consistent feedstock availability to maintain plant utilization targets.
Plant Operations \& Production
- Oversee end\-to\-end plant operations including dismantling, segregation, shredding, material recovery, and dispatch.
- Ensure achievement of production, recovery, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Implement process improvement and operational excellence programs.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and productivity metrics.
Sales \& Business Development
- Develop sales strategies for recovered metals, plastics, and other recyclable materials.
- Build relationships with smelters, refiners, traders, manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
- Explore domestic and international market opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and maximize revenue realization.
Regulatory Compliance \& Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with E\-Waste Management Rules, CPCB/SPCB regulations, EPR requirements, environmental norms, and other statutory obligations.
- Lead sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting programs.
- Maintain all licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals.
Health, Safety \& Environment (HSE)
- Establish a strong safety culture across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular audits, training programs, and risk assessments.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead high\-performing teams across operations, procurement, sales, finance, compliance, and engineering.
- Develop succession planning and talent development programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder \& Government Relations
- Manage relationships with regulators, industry associations, customers, suppliers, investors, and strategic partners.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and government meetings.
Expansion \& New Ventures
- Evaluate opportunities in battery recycling, plastic recycling, metal recovery, carbon credits, and circular economy initiatives.
- Lead project development and commissioning of new recycling facilities and technologies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- MBA (Operations, Strategy, Finance, or General Management) preferred.
Experience
- 15\+ years of experience in recycling, waste management, metals, manufacturing, mining, EPC, or industrial operations.
- Minimum 7 years in a senior leadership role with P\&L responsibility.
- Experience in E\-Waste Recycling, Battery Recycling, Circular Economy, Resource Recovery, or Sustainability businesses will be highly preferred.
