The Presales Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team by understanding customer requirements, designing suitable solutions, preparing proposals, conducting product demonstrations, and coordinating with technical and delivery teams. The role acts as a bridge between customers, sales, and technical teams to ensure the proposed solutions align with business and technical requirements.
- *Key Responsibilities Sales Support**
- Work closely with the sales team to identify customer requirements and business needs.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and requirement\-gathering sessions.
- Support lead qualification and opportunity assessment.
Solution Design
- Analyze customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial solution documents.
- Develop solution architectures, scope documents, and implementation approaches.
Proposal Management
- Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) responses.
- Create technical proposals, cost estimates, and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with customer expectations.
Product Demonstrations \& Presentations
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof\-of\-concept (POC) sessions.
- Deliver technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.
- Explain solution benefits, features, and value propositions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering, operations, and project teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and technology partners for solution inputs.
- Ensure seamless transition of projects from sales to delivery teams.
Market \& Competitor Analysis
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Analyze competitor offerings and market positioning.
- Provide insights to improve solution offerings and sales strategies.
Documentation \& Reporting
- Maintain proposal repositories and bid documentation.
- Track presales activities and conversion metrics.
- Prepare periodic reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in Presales, Solution Consulting, Technical Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure, Networking, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Managed Services, or Software Solutions is preferred.
