Job Summary
Responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Press Shop, and Powder Coating operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities1\. Laser Cutting Operations
- Plan and monitor daily laser cutting production.
- Optimize material utilization and nesting programs.
- Ensure machine availability and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Monitor cutting quality and reduce scrap/rejection.
- Control production output as per production plan.
2\. CNC Bending Operations
- Set up and monitor CNC press brake bending processes.
- Verify dimensions and bending accuracy as per drawings.
- Develop and improve bending sequences for productivity.
- Minimize setup time and tool changeover time.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards.
3\. Press Shop Operations
- Supervise power press and hydraulic press activities.
- Ensure die maintenance and tooling availability.
- Monitor production efficiency and rejection levels.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity.
- Maintain safety standards during press operations.
4\. Powder Coating Operations
- Monitor surface preparation, pretreatment, and coating processes.
- Ensure coating thickness and finish quality meet specifications.
- Control powder consumption and reduce wastage.
- Monitor curing oven temperature and process parameters.
- Handle customer quality requirements related to coating.
5\. Quality Control
- Ensure products meet drawing and customer specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and customer complaints.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Quality Department for inspections.
6\. Production Planning \& Control
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor machine utilization and manpower productivity.
- Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
- Prepare production reports and MIS.
7\. Safety \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Management preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years for Engineer level.
- 8–15 years for Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager level.
- Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Press Shop, and Powder Coating operations.
