Production Head

• *Job Description – Head of Production \| Let’s Try Foods**

• *Role Overview:**

We are looking for an experienced Head of Production to lead and manage end\-to\-end manufacturing operations at Let’s Try Foods. The role will focus on production planning, operational efficiency, product quality, cost optimisation, team management, and ensuring timely production of food products in line with business requirements.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Oversee end\-to\-end production operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Develop production plans and schedules in coordination with Demand Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage manufacturing processes for food products, ensuring consistent quality, taste, texture, and product specifications.
• Optimise production capacity, manpower utilisation, machine efficiency, and overall plant productivity.
• Monitor production costs, wastage, yield, downtime, and operational expenses to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene practices, GMP, HACCP, and applicable FSSAI requirements.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to minimise defects, product rejections, and customer complaints.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimise breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Implement SOPs, process improvements, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure optimal utilisation of raw materials, packaging materials, and other production resources.
• Lead, train, and develop production managers, supervisors, and shop\-floor teams.
• Monitor production KPIs and prepare regular reports on output, efficiency, wastage, quality, and cost.
• Coordinate with R\&D and Quality teams for new product trials, product launches, and process standardisation.
• Maintain production documentation, batch records, traceability, and audit readiness.

• *Required Qualifications \& Skills:**

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in production and manufacturing operations, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
• Expertise in production planning, process optimisation, manpower management, and cost control.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality management systems, GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem\-solving, and decision\-making skills.
• Experience with production MIS, ERP systems, and operational performance reporting.

• *Experience:** 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with leadership experience in food manufacturing.
