Production Manager

• *Roles and Responsibilities**

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities according to customer requirements and production schedules.
• Manage heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering, annealing, normalizing, and stress relieving.
• Monitor and control furnace temperature, soaking time, heating cycles, and quenching parameters.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, process standards, and approved heat treatment procedures.
• Monitor furnace loading patterns, batch quantities, cycle times, and furnace capacity utilization.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Dispatch departments to achieve production targets.
• Ensure proper quenching operations using oil, water, polymer, or other specified cooling media.
• Review hardness test results, microstructure reports, and other quality inspection reports.
• Investigate process deviations, customer complaints, rejection, and rework, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor production costs, energy consumption, consumables, and manpower utilization.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of furnaces, quenching tanks, conveyors, temperature controllers, and related equipment.
• Ensure calibration and verification of thermocouples, temperature controllers, and temperature\-recording instruments.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, PPE usage, fire safety, LOTO, and emergency procedures.
• Train, guide, and supervise production supervisors, furnace operators, and other production staff.
• Maintain production reports, furnace records, traceability records, and process documentation.
• Monitor and improve rejection rates, downtime, productivity, and on\-time delivery performance.
• Support customer audits, internal audits, ISO requirements, and other applicable quality\-system requirements.

• *Required Qualification and Experience**

• Qualification: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering.
• Experience: Typically 5–10 years in manufacturing or heat treatment, including relevant production leadership experience.
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes, furnace operations, quenching methods, and metallurgy.
• Knowledge of hardness testing, microstructure evaluation, and heat treatment quality standards.
• Experience in production planning, manpower management, cost control, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer\-specific requirements where applicable.
• Strong leadership, problem\-solving, communication, and decision\-making skills.

Pay: ₹80,000\.00 \- ₹90,000\.00 per month
