Production Manager : Machinery

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results\-driven Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure efficient production of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes while maintaining quality, safety, and cost\-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets.
• Develop production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with the procurement, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production operations.
• Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Identify process improvements to reduce waste and optimize manufacturing costs.
• Manage manpower, machine utilization, and production resources effectively.
• Resolve production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to improve performance.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize machine downtime.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials and coordinate with stores and procurement teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in production or manufacturing, preferably in the machinery or engineering industry.
• Previous experience in a production leadership or managerial role is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CNC machines, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ISO quality management systems.
• Knowledge of production costing, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000\.00 \- ₹45,000\.00 per month
