About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and performance\-driven **Production Manager** to lead manufacturing operations and ensure efficient execution of production activities. The role involves planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capabilities with hands\-on experience in production planning, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, team management, and engineering manufacturing operations. The individual will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to achieve operational excellence and customer delivery commitments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning \& Operations

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources.
• Monitor production performance and resolve bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams for smooth production flow.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and shop\-floor teams.
• Allocate work, monitor productivity, and drive a high\-performance culture.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skill development programs.

• *Continuous Improvement**

• **Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S initiatives across the plant.**
• **Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance manufacturing efficiency.**
• **Implement process improvements and automation initiatives wherever feasible.**

• *Quality \& Process Control**

• **Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, SOPs, and quality standards.**
• **Partner with Quality teams to improve First Pass Yield (FPY), reduce rejections, and minimize rework.**
• **Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA implementation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.**

Equipment \& Resource Management

• Ensure efficient utilization of machines, tools, and production equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the Maintenance team.
• Monitor material availability and inventory to avoid production interruptions.

Safety \& Compliance

• Ensure adherence to EHS policies, statutory regulations, and workplace safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across production operations.

Cost \& Productivity Management

• Monitor production costs, material utilization, labour efficiency, and machine performance.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and plant productivity.

Cross\-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, SCM, Procurement, and Sales teams.
• Support new product introductions, production trials, and process validation.
• Ensure timely execution of customer orders through effective planning and coordination.

Reporting \& MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Track and present manufacturing KPIs to senior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production, quality, downtime, safety, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• **8–10 years of experience in Production/Manufacturing, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or Production Manager role.**
• Experience in Engineering Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment, Automotive, Capital Equipment, Fabrication, or Machine Building industries is preferred.
