• *About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced and result\-oriented **Production Manager** to lead and drive manufacturing operations in our engineering unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing end\-to\-end production activities while ensuring high standards of productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

This role requires a strong leader with hands\-on experience in production planning, process improvement, team management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and engineering operations. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely delivery while achieving operational excellence.

• *Key Responsibilities**Production Planning \& Manufacturing Operations

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve business and customer delivery targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production resources.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively resolve bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams for seamless production execution.

Production Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and build a high\-performance work culture.
• Conduct regular team meetings, training programs, and performance reviews.

Process Improvement \& Operational Excellence

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using **Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Root Cause Analysis**.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Implement automation, process improvements, and best manufacturing practices to improve efficiency.

• *Quality Management**

• **Ensure production processes comply with engineering specifications and quality standards.**
• **Work closely with the Quality team to reduce defects, improve First Pass Yield (FPY), and achieve Zero Defect Manufacturing.**
• **Lead CAPA (Corrective \& Preventive Actions) and continuous quality improvement initiatives.**

Resource \& Equipment Management

• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and production equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid production interruptions.

Safety, Compliance \& EHS

• Ensure strict adherence to **EHS (Environment, Health \& Safety)** standards and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Cost Control \& Productivity

• Manage production budgets and control manufacturing costs.
• Monitor labour, material consumption, rejection, rework, and machine efficiency.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and safety.
• Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and manufacturing productivity.

Problem Solving

• Lead troubleshooting of production, process, and equipment\-related issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure production targets are achieved despite operational challenges.

Cross\-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, SCM, Procurement, and Sales teams.
• Support new product development, production trials, and process validation.
• Ensure customer commitments are met through effective planning and coordination.

Reporting \& MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor and present manufacturing KPIs to senior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production, quality, downtime, safety, and productivity.

• *Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
• **8\+ years of experience in Production/Manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a Production Manager or Team Leadership role.**
• Experience in Engineering, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive, Capital Equipment, or Fabrication industries preferred.
