• *Nature of Work**

The Technical Manager/ Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering electrical asset condition\-monitoring solutions for substations and industrial facilities, including oil \& gas, refineries, power plants, renewable\-energy sites, data centres, and heavy industry.

The role focuses on integrating IIoT sensors, edge\-monitoring devices, control panels, communication networks, and monitoring software with critical electrical assets. These assets include power transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, power cables, GIS, batteries, and rotating machines. The engineer supports projects from technical proposal and detailed design through commissioning and customer handover.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Review customer specifications, single\-line diagrams, protection schemes, asset data, site layouts, and project requirements.
• Prepare technical solutions for online condition\-monitoring systems for transformers, cables, switchgear, circuit breakers, rotating machines, and associated electrical assets.
• Prepare system architecture drawings, control\-panel layouts, wiring diagrams, termination diagrams, cable schedules, I/O lists, network diagrams, and bill of materials.
• Design integration between field sensors, edge devices, SCADA, DCS, RTU, substation automation systems, and centralized asset\-performance\-management platforms.
• Define communication interfaces and protocols, such as IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870\-5\-104, Ethernet, fiber optic, and serial communication, as applicable.
• Ensure designs are suitable for industrial and oil \& gas environments, including hazardous\-area, EMC, ingress\-protection, temperature, vibration, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare technical datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor\-document review comments.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, Consultant, End users, site engineers, automation engineers, and internal product team to resolve design interfaces.
• Coordinate with the Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure timely sourcing, expediting, delivery, and availability of project materials, equipment, and documentation in line with project schedules.
• Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, installation, loop checks, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project closeout.
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, test procedures, commissioning checklists, operation manuals, and as\-built documentation.
• Provide technical support during customer meetings and recommend solutions that improve asset reliability, predictive maintenance, and operational safety.
• Coordinate with the Finance team on project invoicing, payment follow\-up, Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantee (BG), and other financial documentation to ensure timely billing and payment collection

• *Preferred Profile**

• Bachelor’s degree in EEE / ECE.
• Desing experience in substation, industrial power, oil \& gas, refinery, utility, or electrical\-asset\-monitoring projects.
• Desing experience in of HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, protection and control, switchgear, cable systems, and substation automation.
• Familiarity with online condition\-monitoring technologies, IIoT sensors, industrial networking, and SCADA/DCS integration.
• Working knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC/NFPA, IEC 61850, and customer/EPC engineering standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design/documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to support site commissioning and customer\-facing technical discussions.
