Job Description

The Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring raw materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing or project operations. This role bridges technical knowledge and commercial acumen to ensure timely, cost\-effective, and quality\-compliant procurement.

*Key Responsibilities**

Sourcing \& Vendor Management*

Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability
Maintain an approved vendor list (AVL) and conduct periodic supplier audits and performance reviews
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contractual terms with suppliers

Procurement Operations*

Process purchase orders (POs) in line with material requirements and project timelines
Coordinate with stores, production, and engineering teams to understand material specifications and quantities
Track and expedite open orders to ensure on\-time delivery; resolve supply disruptions proactively

Technical Evaluation*

Review technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and specifications to source correct materials and components
Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure purchased items meet technical and regulatory requirements
Evaluate and approve product substitutions or equivalents when required

Cost Management*

Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to achieve cost savings and optimal pricing
Prepare comparative statements (techno\-commercial comparison) and present recommendations
Work towards annual cost reduction targets through negotiations and value engineering

Documentation \& Compliance*

Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and vendor documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory requirements
Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification, GRN (Goods Receipt Note) matching, and payment follow\-ups

Pay: ₹28,500\.00 \- ₹40,000\.00 per month
