1\) Job Summary
The Quality Head is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's quality management systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves leading quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality, customer quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the automobile manufacturing environment.
- *Quality Management System (QMS)**
- Establish, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer\-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- *Production Quality Control**
- Monitor in\-process and final product quality to meet customer specifications.
- Develop quality inspection plans and control plans.
- Drive defect reduction and process capability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to quality checkpoints throughout manufacturing processes.
- *Customer Quality Management**
- Handle customer complaints and quality concerns.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem\-solving tools.
- Ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain customer satisfaction through continuous quality improvement.
- *Supplier Quality Management**
- Evaluate and develop supplier quality systems.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Monitor supplier quality KPIs and drive improvement programs.
- Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards.
- *Continuous Improvement**
- Lead Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Poka\-Yoke, and TPM initiatives.
- Analyze quality data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive cost reduction through quality improvement projects.
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and training programs.
- Develop succession planning and employee skill enhancement initiatives.
- *Regulatory \& Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with statutory, customer, and industry requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation and records.
- Support environmental, health, and safety compliance activities.

- *Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in Quality Management within the Automobile Manufacturing Industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing quality functions.
Experience with Automobile Manufacturing, Auto Components, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, Machining, Assembly, OEMs, and Tier\-1/Tier\-2 Automotive Suppliers.
