Research and Development Head

• *CG Carbon India Private Limited** is a leading manufacturer and exporter of coconut shell activated carbon. From washed and granulated carbon to powder and pellet carbon, CG Carbon offers an extensive range of products to meet different industry needs.

We are looking for an experienced and result\-oriented **R\&D Head** to lead research and development activities related to coconut shell\-based activated carbon. The candidate will be responsible for product development, process optimization, quality improvement, and innovative solutions to meet customer and industry requirements.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

· Lead and manage the Research \& Development department.

· Develop new activated carbon products and improve existing products.

· Conduct laboratory testing and analyze product performance.

· Optimize activation processes to improve product quality and adsorption capacity.

· Identify opportunities to reduce production costs and improve manufacturing efficiency.

· Coordinate with Production and Quality Control teams to implement process improvements.

· Develop products according to customer specifications and industry requirements.

· Maintain technical records, laboratory reports, and R\&D documentation.

· Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and environmental standards.

· Guide and supervise R\&D team members.

· Coordinate with the Plant Manager to implement process improvements and enhance production efficiency.

· Report R\&D progress, technical findings, and product development updates to the Managing Director and Plant Manager.

· Research new technologies and innovative methods in activated carbon manufacturing.

• *QUALIFICATIONS**

· M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

· Ph.D. is an added advantage.

· Strong knowledge of laboratory testing, product development, and process optimization.

• *EXPERIENCE**

· 5–10 years of relevant experience in Research \& Development.

· Experience in activated carbon manufacturing, chemical processing, adsorption technology, or a related industry is preferred.

• *REQUIRED SKILLS**

· Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

· Technical knowledge of product development and process improvement.

· Leadership and team management abilities.

· Good communication and technical documentation skills.
