The Head – Safety / HOD Safety will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety systems across EPC projects. This role ensures statutory compliance, site safety governance, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement of safety KPIs to achieve zero\-harm objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Safety Leadership \& Governance

• Lead and manage the safety function across all EPC projects and sites. **Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards in line with statutory and organizational requirements.** Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership, training, and site engagement.

2\. Project Safety Management

• Oversee implementation of safety systems at project sites. **Conduct risk assessments, HIRA, JSA, and method statement reviews.** Ensure compliance with contract\-specific safety requirements and client safety protocols. **Participate in project kick\-off meetings, safety reviews, and progress meetings.**

3\. Safety Documentation \& Compliance

• Draft, review, and maintain Safety Management Plans (SMP), EHS Manuals, SOPs, Work Permits, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Emergency Response Plans, and Accident / Incident Reports. **Ensure compliance with Factory Act, BOCW Act, Environment Protection Act, and other statutory regulations.** Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and clients for inspections and audits.

4\. Monitoring Safety KPIs

• Define, track, and report key safety metrics such as LTIFR, TRIR, Near Miss Reporting, Unsafe Acts/Conditions, and Training Compliance. **Analyze trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).**

5\. Training \& Awareness

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized training programs. **Build safety awareness across all levels including contractors and sub\-contractors.** Develop competency frameworks for safety officers and site teams.

6\. Audits, Inspections \& Reporting

• Carry out internal safety audits, site inspections, and management walkthroughs. **Prepare monthly safety reports, dashboards, and compliance status for management and clients.** Lead accident investigations and ensure closure of action points.

Qualifications \& Experience

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Engineering **Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety (mandatory)** 3\-5 years experience in EPC / Infrastructure / Construction / Power / Oil \& Gas projects **Proven experience in multi\-site safety governance and statutory compliance**

Key Skills \& Competencies

• Strong knowledge of safety legislation and EPC safety frameworks **Expertise in safety documentation, audits, and KPI monitoring** Leadership and stakeholder management skills **Excellent reporting and analytical abilities** Ability to work across multiple project locations

Preferred Certifications

• NEBOSH / IOSH / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor **Fire \& Industrial Safety Certification**

Pay: Up to ₹45,000\.00 per month
