Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result\-oriented Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, understanding their electrical requirements, proposing suitable products and solutions, and developing long\-term business relationships. The role involves extensive field visits, customer meetings, technical discussions, and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within assigned territories and industry segments.
- Conduct regular visits to industrial customers, OEMs, panel builders, EPC contractors, consultants, and end users.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate electrical switchgear and allied products.
- Prepare and submit techno\-commercial proposals and quotations.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order closures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Coordinate with internal sales support and operations teams for order processing and timely deliveries.
- Gather market intelligence regarding competitor activities, pricing trends, and upcoming projects.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and business opportunities in the CRM system.
- Participate in product presentations, technical demonstrations, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer queries and provide excellent after\-sales support.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in industrial sales, electrical switchgear sales, electrical products, automation products, cables, or related industries.
- Fresh electrical engineering graduates with strong communication skills and a passion for sales may also apply.
Desired Skills
- Sound understanding of electrical switchgear products such as MCCBs, MCBs, ACBs, Contactors, Relays, VFDs, Industrial Plugs \& Sockets, Cable Glands, Terminal Blocks, and related products.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into business opportunities.
- Self\-motivated and target\-driven approach.
- Good interpersonal and relationship\-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and business development activities.
