Senior Accountant (Import \& Finance Operations)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in accounting, taxation, banking, and import operations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands\-on experience in import documentation, foreign trade transactions, LC/BC handling, and overall financial management. The candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions while coordinating import\-related activities and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting \& Finance
\* Manage day\-to\-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
\* Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny.
\* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
\* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial reporting.
\* Coordinate with auditors, banks, and consultants.
\* Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
\* Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
Import \& Trade Operations
\* Handle end\-to\-end import documentation and compliance.
\* Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines.
\* Manage Letters of Credit (LC), Buyers Credit (BC), SBLC, remittances, and foreign exchange transactions.
\* Verify import documents including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Insurance, and related documents.
\* Monitor shipment status and ensure timely clearance of imported goods.
\* Liaise with banks for import payments and trade finance requirements.
\* Ensure compliance with DGFT, FEMA, RBI, Customs, and other import regulations.
\* Maintain records of import costs, duties, freight, and logistics expenses.
Qualifications
\* Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\* CA Inter, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience
\* Minimum 8–10 years of accounting experience.
\* Minimum 5 years of practical experience in import/export documentation and international trade finance.
Required Skills
\* Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software.
\* Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
\* Experience in LC, Buyers Credit, SBLC, Import Remittances, and Foreign Exchange transactions.
\* Knowledge of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and import regulations.
\* Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
\* Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Industry
Manufacturing, Trading, Import\-Export, Chemicals, Polymers, or Industrial Products.
Pay: ₹40,000\.00 \- ₹60,000\.00 per month
