The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day\-to\-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing statutory compliance, and supporting financial planning and audits.
*Key Responsibilities**
Maintain and review general ledger accounts and financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
Ensure timely processing of journal entries and closing activities.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare and file statutory returns, tax reports, and compliance documents.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Verify invoices, payments, and expense reports for accuracy.
Analyze financial data and provide management reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
*Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants of India CA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
Typically 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience.
