Senior Cloud Specialist

We are looking for a cloud developer to join our Data \& AI department as a dedicated internal resource in India, delivering global projects. You will report to the Data Products Lead, Data \& AI and collaborate with Global IT functions on a range of data products topics

#### **What you will do**

• Develop Databricks notebooks in PySpark and SQL to ingest, clean, transform and enrich data across the bronze, silver and gold layers

• Design and build reusable, well\-documented data products that are aligned with business needs
• Build and maintain the serving layer, including gold tables, Databricks SQL warehouses, views and data models for BI tools
• Work with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Ensure data quality through validation, testing and monitoring, and optimise pipeline performance and cost
• Contribute to data governance with Unity Catalog, and support the team through code reviews, mentoring junior developers and setting technical standards.

#### **What you bring**

• 5\+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or cloud development, with a university degree in computer science, information technology or similar

• Good hands\-on experience with PySpark and SQL on Databricks across the medallion layers, where experience with Auto Loader, structured streaming or Spark declarative pipelines is advantageous
• Experience building data products and serving layers, such as curated gold tables, Databricks SQL warehouses and data models for BI tools
• Solid understanding of data quality, performance and cost optimisation, and pipeline orchestration with Databricks Workflows
• Familiar with good practices in code quality, including Git, code reviews, CI/CD and documentation, and with data governance in Unity Catalog
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to refine requirements, and to mentor junior developers.
