Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative **Senior Design Engineer** to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands\-on experience in product design, and the ability to lead projects from concept through production while ensuring quality, cost, and performance objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products based on customer requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering documentation.
• Lead product design and development projects from concept to production.
• Review customer specifications and convert them into practical engineering designs.
• Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth product execution.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Optimize existing product designs to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Resolve design\-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
• Conduct design reviews and implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality systems.
• Mentor and guide junior design engineers and CAD designers.
• Support customer discussions by providing technical solutions and design recommendations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in **SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX**.
• Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, machining, welded structures, and assembly design.
• Knowledge of GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning \& Tolerancing) and engineering standards.
• Ability to prepare manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Understanding of material properties, fabrication methods, and production techniques.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and document control processes.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in industrial equipment, fabrication, heavy engineering, material handling systems, or custom\-built machinery is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in product development and design validation.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
• Exposure to FEA, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and value engineering.
• Experience in handling customer technical discussions and cross\-functional project coordination.
