Senior Software Engineer – iOS

Own core engineering decisions for a desktop application that has to work flawlessly for millions of users, deeply integrated with the cloud. As a Principal Engineer at Talentica, you’ll drive architecture and design for a high\-scale desktop \+ cloud product, solving engineering challenges such as reliable cross\-platform data sync and large\-scale performance tuning.

### **What You'll Own**

• Design, build and maintain reliable, secure and high\-performing iOS applications for a large consumer base.
• Own the end\-to\-end delivery of complex iOS features, ensuring high standards of quality, maintainability and timely delivery.
• Drive the design and development of scalable and reusable mobile framework components.
• Write clean, modular, maintainable and well\-documented code, while helping define coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Contribute changes to Quilt, our Backend\-for\-Frontend service, by quickly cross\-skilling into Go.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and third\-party libraries securely and reliably.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend engineers, QA and other stakeholders to align engineering delivery with customer and business objectives.
• Apply Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and work closely with Designers to deliver intuitive, accessible and consistent user experiences.
• Optimize application startup time, responsiveness, memory usage, battery consumption and overall performance using appropriate profiling and diagnostic tools.
• Manage TestFlight and App Store releases, following Apple's App Store review guidelines.
• Participate across the complete SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post\-production support.

### **What We Need**

• 6 \+ years of professional iOS development experience with strong hands\-on proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Xcode and XCTest.
• A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, object\-oriented programming and functional reactive programming concepts.
• Experience applying modern architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, VIPER and Clean Architecture to build scalable and maintainable applications.
• Hands\-on experience with Core Data, Core Animation, modern Swift concurrency, memory management and other advanced iOS frameworks.
• A good understanding of Go, and the ability to cross\-skill quickly to work on Quilt.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit and UI automation tests using XCTest, XCUITest or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with Git\-based version\-control platforms such as Bitbucket, and with effective branching and code\-review practices.
• Experience working within Scrum and Agile delivery environments, including fast\-paced product or hyper\-growth organizations.
• The ability to communicate technical requirements, architectural decisions and engineering trade\-offs effectively to technical and non\-technical stakeholders.
• A habit of staying current with developments in the iOS ecosystem and applying relevant technologies and practices to continuously improve the product.
