Senior Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer / Data Quality professional with strong skills in Python, SQL, ETL testing, and data reconciliation. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, performing database testing, and supporting end\-to\-end testing activities, including SIT and UAT.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Execute source\-to\-target data reconciliation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data transformations, business rules, joins, aggregations, and data integrity.
• Perform database testing, including record\-count validation, duplicate checks, null checks, and data\-quality verification.
• Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, and regression testing.
• Validate data pipelines, troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinate with development and data engineering teams to resolve defects.
• Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business and technical requirements.
• Automate repetitive data\-validation and reconciliation processes wherever possible.
• Document test results, report defects, and provide regular testing status updates.

Required Skills

• Minimum **4\+ years of experience** in software testing, ETL testing, or data quality assurance.
• Strong hands\-on experience with **Python and SQL**.
• Practical experience in ETL testing and source\-to\-target data reconciliation.
• Proficiency in database validation and data\-quality checks.
• Experience with **Selenium** for test automation.
• Hands\-on experience in SIT, UAT, functional, and regression testing.
• Ability to analyze complex data issues and perform root\-cause analysis.
• Experience with test management and defect\-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing data migration projects or large\-volume datasets.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms and modern data pipelines is an advantage.

Pay: ₹494,000\.00 \- ₹1,700,000\.00 per year
