Senior Tester

• *Job Summary**

Skilled **Senior Automation Test Engineer** with strong experience in **Manual Testing**, **Automation Testing (API \& Web Applications)**, and hands\-on expertise in **Selenium with Java**. Additional exposure to **Cypress** is a plus. Should be capable of leading a small team (2–3 members) while also contributing individually within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• *Key Responsibilities**
• -----------------------

• *Testing \& Quality Assurance**Design, develop, and execute **manual** and **automation test cases** for web and API applications.Build and maintain automated test suites using **Selenium (Java)** and frameworks such as TestNG/JUnit.Develop automation scripts for REST APIs using tools like **REST Assured**, Postman, or equivalent.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.Perform regression, functional, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• *Team Leadership**Guide and mentor a small testing team of **2–3 members**, ensuring quality delivery.Review test cases, scripts, and overall test coverage of team members.Support team in troubleshooting issues and optimizing testing processes.

• *Agile \& SDLC Participation**Actively participate in **Scrum ceremonies** including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, grooming, and retrospectives.Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure requirement clarity.Ensure adherence to **SDLC processes**, quality standards, and documentation best practices.

• *Skill Requirements**

• **4–6 years** of hands\-on experience in software testing.Strong proficiency in **Manual Testing** (UI, API, functional, regression).
• Solid experience in **Automation Testing** using:

+ **Selenium** **WebDriver with Java**

+ **TestNG/JUnit**

+ **Automation frameworks (Hybrid, POM, data\-driven)**

• Experience in **API Testing** using tools like **REST Assured**, Postman, or similar.
• Exposure to **Cypress** automation (good to have).
• Strong understanding of **SDLC**, **STLC**, and **Agile methodologies**.
• Ability to manage and mentor a small team.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem\-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
