- *About the opportunity:**
We’re looking for a Service Engineer to join our team in India. This job is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing projectors with optical, electrical, and mechanical alignments. The role ensures reliable performance by making acceptance decisions and carrying out advanced repairs on projection systems.
- Perform repair, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of projection systems and related modules to ensure high\-quality and reliable performance.
- Execute optical, electrical, and mechanical alignments in accordance with technical specifications.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and implement corrective actions within defined turnaround timelines.
- Evaluate repaired and assembled systems to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards prior to release.
- Maintain and enhance technical expertise in Christie products through continuous learning, certifications, and training programs.
- Provide timely, professional technical support to customers, ensuring high levels of service satisfaction.
- Maintain repair facilities, tools, and equipment in an organized, safe, and operational condition.
- Follow standard operating procedures, quality processes, and documentation requirements for all service activities.
- Ensure 100% documentation of completed work using company systems and tools.
- Track and record all materials used accurately on a daily basis.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues within the work cell as required.
- Read and interpret work instructions to ensure tasks are completed to the desired standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and system components as needed.
- Perform all quality assurance (QA) functions thoroughly, identifying and communicating issues proactively.
- Complete and process all required documentation accurately and timely.
- Utilize all available equipment efficiently to complete assigned work.
- Manage and record material usage transactions accurately.
- Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and business associates to maintain a positive work environment.
- Provide indirect Help Desk support for product and application issues when required.

- *The experience and skills we value:**
- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 3\-5 years’ experience in relevant service engineer position or equivalent within the AV industry or related field
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in projector, optical, and electronic systems are preferred for this role.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, alignment equipment, measuring instruments, and computer\-based testing systems used for repair and calibration activities will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and documentation skills, along with basic knowledge of computer hardware, MS Office applications, and service management systems, will be beneficial for the role
- *What will put you ahead:**
- Experience in projector repair and maintenance, especially in handling optical and projection systems. Practical knowledge of optics, light path assemblies, lens mechanisms, image quality adjustments, and optical alignments is primarily developed through direct experience working on live systems and repair activities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues related to projection quality, light output, focus, and system performance. Experience within the projection industry or service environment helps develop the technical judgment needed to evaluate repairs and ensure systems meet operational and quality standards before release
