• *JOB PURPOSE**

• Execute and supervise bridge construction activities at project sites as per approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards and project timelines.
• Ensure proper coordination and timely execution of bridge substructure and superstructure works.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**

• Supervise day\-to\-day bridge construction activities and ensure execution as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and labour contractors for smooth site execution.
• Monitor work progress, achieve daily targets and report delays or site issues to the Project Manager / Sr. Project Engineer.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and equipment at site.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Safety, Planning, Survey and Plant \& Machinery teams.
• Identify technical and execution\-related issues and coordinate with seniors for timely resolution.

• *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Supervise bridge foundation and substructure works, including piling, pile caps, well foundations (where applicable), piers, pier caps and abutments.
• Monitor superstructure activities such as girder / segment erection, launching, deck slab concreting, diaphragms and approach slab works, as applicable to the project.
• Supervise reinforcement fixing, shuttering / formwork, staging, scaffolding and concreting activities.
• Ensure correct positioning and installation of bearings, expansion joints and other bridge components as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Study and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules, method statements and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with the survey team for setting out, alignment, levels, dimensions and geometry checks.
• Monitor concrete quality, reinforcement placement, formwork and pre\-/post\-concreting inspections.
• Coordinate with concrete suppliers, material vendors and equipment teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records, checklists, inspection requests and measurement details.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety procedures and approved work methods.

• *WORKING CONDITIONS**

Bridge construction site environment, including work at height, elevated structures, foundations, river / water crossings (where applicable) and outdoor project locations.

• *SUPERVISION RECEIVED**

Reports to the Project Manager / Sr. Project Engineer and receives technical and execution guidance for bridge construction activities.

• *SUPERVISION EXERCISED**

Coordinates and guides supervisors, foremen, labour contractors and subcontractor staff for assigned bridge construction activities.

• *QUALIFICATIONS**

• *MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in bridge construction with B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in bridge construction with Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Practical site execution experience in bridge projects is mandatory. Candidates with only building construction experience will not be considered.

• *PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

• Experience in bridge substructure and superstructure works.
• Exposure to piling / foundation, pier, pier cap, abutment, girder erection / launching and deck slab works.
• Experience in road, highway, railway or infrastructure bridge projects will be preferred.
• Knowledge of bearings, expansion joints and approach slab execution will be an added advantage.

• *MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**

B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• *AGE CRITERIA**

30\-35

• *PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel will be preferred.

• *REQUIRED SKILLS**

• Ability to read and understand bridge structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Knowledge of bridge construction methodology, reinforcement, shuttering and concreting.
• Knowledge of survey, alignment, levels and measurement procedures.
• Knowledge of QA/QC requirements and construction safety practices.
• Good site coordination, communication, reporting and problem\-solving skills.

• *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

Average physique with good health conditions. Should be capable of working at construction sites, at height and in outdoor site conditions.
