In the fenestration industry, a Site Supervisor is the primary point of contact for on\-site execution, responsible for managing the installation of window, door, and facade systems. They ensure that projects transition smoothly from the factory to the building site while maintaining strict quality, safety, and timeline standards.
Key Responsibilities **Installation Oversight: Supervise the day\-to\-day installation of aluminium/uPVC profiles, glass panels, hardware, and sealants to ensure they match approved shop drawings and specifications.** Site Measurement \& Validation: Verify actual site dimensions against technical drawings before fabrication to prevent costly errors.
- *Manpower Management: Guide and allocate daily tasks to teams of technicians, fabricators, and specialized installers.** Quality Control: Inspect workmanship for finishing standards, air/water tightness, and proper functioning of hardware (hinges, locks, sliders).
- *Material Coordination: Monitor the delivery and storage of fragile materials like glass and delicate aluminium profiles to prevent damage or shortages.** Safety Compliance: Enforce PPE usage and conduct "toolbox talks" to ensure teams follow safety protocols for high\-rise installations or heavy glass lifting. **Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with main contractors, project managers, and architects to resolve on\-site technical clashes.**
- *Core Skills \& Qualifications** Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Window, Door \& facade systems (unitized, Semi – Unitizes, Toggle \& Stick curtain walls), glazing techniques, and weatherproofing details. **Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.** Leadership: Proven experience in managing labour teams and resolving on\-site conflicts effectively. **Reporting: Proficiency in maintaining Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and tracking material inventory.**
