Cloud Database Engineer – DB2 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Engineer – DB2 to design, implement, administer, and optimize IBM DB2 database environments across cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in DB2 database administration, cloud platform services, automation, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and database security. Performance \& Availability • Monitor database health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks. • Tune SQL queries, indexes, buffer pools, tablespaces, and database configurations. • Implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions. • Support database replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms. Security \& Compliance • Implement database security controls, encryption, and access management. • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support audit requirements. • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. • Manage user roles, privileges, and data access controls. Automation \& DevOps • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or PowerShell. • Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines. • Implement monitoring, alerting, and self\-healing capabilities. • Collaborate with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.
