Sr Architect : Real Estate

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Architect to lead architectural design, planning, and execution for residential and commercial real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing architectural designs, reviewing drawings, coordinating with engineers and consultants, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and planning for residential, commercial, and mixed\-use real estate projects.
• Prepare and review architectural layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Develop innovative, functional, and cost\-effective architectural concepts.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, civil engineers, MEP consultants, interior designers, and contractors.
• Supervise architectural design development from concept to project completion.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, development control regulations, and local authority requirements.
• Prepare and review drawings for building permissions and statutory approvals.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor architectural execution and construction quality.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, materials, and design modifications.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to resolve technical and design\-related issues.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of architectural deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior architects and draftsmen.
• Prepare project presentations, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Optimise space planning, material selection, and construction costs.
• Maintain architectural documentation, drawing revisions, and project records.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised institution.
• Council of Architecture registration, where applicable.
• 5–10 years of experience in architectural design, preferably in real estate development.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and architectural design software.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, BIM, and architectural visualisation tools.
• Good understanding of residential and commercial building design.
• Knowledge of local building regulations, approvals, and construction practices.
• Strong technical drawing, detailing, and space\-planning skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination abilities.
• Strong problem\-solving, decision\-making, and time\-management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with real estate developers, construction companies, or architectural consultancy firms.
• Experience in residential apartments, high\-rise buildings, townships, villas, or commercial developments.
• Ability to independently manage architectural projects and coordinate multiple teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building systems, and design execution.
• Detail\-oriented, creative, organised, and capable of meeting project deadlines.
• Experience in coordinating with local authorities for building approvals is preferred.
