Sr. Electrical Engineer - Plant

We are hiring for Sr.Engineer – Plant (Electrical)

Department: Engineering / Maintenance

Location : Chennai

Qualification : Bachelor\& Degree in Electrical \& Electronics Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

Experience : 6–8 years of experience in plant maintenance or process industries.

Experience in Polyurethane (PU) plant operations and maintenance is preferred.

Roles \& Responsibilities

\# Lead the day\-to\-day operation and maintenance activities of the Plant to ensure safe,

reliable, and efficient production.

\# Take ownership of all electrical systems supporting the plant, including HT/LT

distribution, motors, VFDs, MCCs, control panels, instruments, and field equipment.

\# Plan, execute, and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance

(PdM), and Breakdown Maintenance for all PU plant equipment.

\# Ensure high equipment availability and minimize production downtime through

effective maintenance planning and troubleshooting.

\# Prepare, review, and maintain all ISO\-related documentation, including SOPs, Work

Instructions, PM checklists, maintenance records, calibration records, risk assessments,

and audit documents.

\# Support internal, external, customer, and statutory audits by ensuring documentation

compliance and timely closure of observations.

\# Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns and implement effective

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

\# Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, LOTO, Permit\-to\-Work (PTW),

and statutory regulations.

\# Coordinate with Production, Quality, EHS, and Stores to ensure smooth plant operation.

\# Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR,

breakdown hours, and equipment availability.

\# Drive energy conservation, cost reduction, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement

initiatives.

\# Maintain critical spare parts inventory and support procurement planning.

\# Lead installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment and improvement

projects within the plant.

\# Train down the line Jr.Engineers and operators on equipment operation, preventive

maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
