• *Job Description**

As a Sr. Engineer Design at Kohler Co., you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the design and development of new and existing products within our kitchen and bath portfolio. You will work closely with cross\-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and manufacturing, to bring new products to market and improve existing ones.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Lead and support the development of new products from concept to production, including concept design, conducting design reviews, DFMEAs, prototyping, gate exits, customer facing document creation and testing.

2\. Collaborate with product management and marketing to analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, then turn those insights into innovative product designs. Because much of the team is based in North America and China, strong communication skills are essential.

3\. Utilize engineering principles and CAD software to create detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for product components and systems.

4\. Participate in design validation activities, such as testing and analysis, to ensure products meet performance and quality standards.

5\. Provide technical support to manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure successful production and optimal use of materials and resources.

6\. Drive innovation and file patents by leading or participating innovation related initiatives.

7\. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve and innovate product designs.

8\. Use analytical and problem\-solving skills to tackle problems faced at customer’s end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4\+ years of experience in product design, development, and engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software CREO.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem\-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross\-functional teams.
• Passion for design, innovation, and continuous improvement.
