Position: Designation: AGM / Sr. Manager – Civil

Department: Projects \& Engineering

Reporting To: Plant Head / Unit Head

Location: Manufacturing Plant Site\- Cuttack

• *Purpose of the Role**

To lead and manage all civil construction activities related to greenfield, brownfield, expansion, and infrastructure development projects including industrial buildings, production structures, warehouses, roads, drains, utilities, residential facilities, and administrative buildings, ensuring timely completion within budget, quality, and safety standards.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Project Planning \& Execution**

· Plan, coordinate, and monitor all civil construction activities at the plant site.

· Develop project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.

· Ensure timely completion of office buildings, production blocks, warehouses, utility buildings, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.

· Review construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and engineering designs.

· Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural designers, and contractors.

• *2\. Construction Management**

· Supervise site execution activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

· Monitor quality of RCC works, structural steel foundations, masonry, plastering, flooring, roofing, and finishing works.

· Ensure adherence to project timelines and construction methodologies.

· Resolve site\-level technical issues and provide engineering solutions.

· Monitor daily construction progress and resource deployment.

• *3\. Contractor Management**

· Evaluate and recommend contractors/vendors.

· Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and compliance.

· Verify contractor bills and work measurements.

· Conduct regular review meetings with contractors.

· Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

• *4\. Cost Control \& Budget Management**

· Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.

· Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.

· Identify opportunities for cost optimization.

· Review and certify RA Bills, final bills, and variation orders.

· Control material wastage and resource utilization.

• *5\. Quality Assurance**

· Ensure construction activities comply with IS Codes and statutory requirements.

· Implement quality control procedures.

· Monitor concrete testing, material testing, cube testing, and quality documentation.

· Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.

· Ensure defect\-free project delivery.

• *6\. Safety \& Compliance**

· Ensure compliance with EHS standards during construction.

· Conduct safety inspections and audits.

· Ensure contractors follow work permit systems.

· Maintain statutory compliance related to construction activities.

· Promote a zero\-accident culture at site.

• *7\. Coordination \& Stakeholder Management**

· Liaise with government authorities for approvals and inspections.

· Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Electrical, Utility, and Safety departments.

· Present project progress reports to management.

· Participate in project review meetings.

• *8\. Documentation \& Reporting**

· Maintain project records and construction documentation.

· Prepare DPRs, weekly and monthly progress reports.

· Maintain drawing revisions and project correspondence.

· Track project KPIs and milestones.

• *Educational Qualification / Experience**

· B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

· 12–15 years of experience.

· Minimum 8 years in industrial/manufacturing projects.

· Experience in Greenfield/Brownfield manufacturing plants.

Pay: ₹90,000\.00 \- ₹100,000\.00 per month
