Job Title: Senior Field Sales Engineer – Instrumentation

Role Overview
The Senior Field Sales Engineer – Instrumentation engineer is responsible for driving business growth by promoting and selling industrial instrumentation and automation solutions to customers across various industries. The role requires strong technical knowledge of process instruments such as pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, temperature instruments, flow instruments, level instruments, valves, and automation products, combined with excellent sales and customer relationship skills.
The candidate will work closely with end users, consultants, OEMs, EPC contractors, and industrial clients to provide suitable technical solutions and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industries such as Oil \& Gas, Chemical, Pharma, Power, Food \& Beverage, Water Treatment, and Manufacturing
- Promote and sell industrial instrumentation products including:
- Pressure Gauges
- Pressure Transmitters
- Temperature Gauges \& RTDs
- Flow Meters
- Level Instruments
- Control Valves
- Process Automation Solutions
- Conduct customer visits, technical discussions, site surveys, and product demonstrations
- Understand customer process requirements and recommend suitable instrumentation solutions
- Read and interpret P\&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and technical specifications
- Prepare techno\-commercial quotations, negotiate pricing, and follow up for order closure
- Maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and end\-user customers
- Coordinate with internal application, service, and operations teams for smooth execution
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
- Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements
- Ensure timely reporting of sales activities, forecasts, collections, and customer feedback

- Strong technical knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process automation
- Hands\-on understanding of pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
- Ability to understand industrial processes and applications
- Knowledge of instrumentation selection and application engineering
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Customer\-focused approach with problem\-solving ability
- Self\-motivated, target\-oriented, and willing to travel extensively
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/reporting tools
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in sales of industrial instrumentation and automation products
- Experience handling products such as pressure gauges, transmitters, flow meters, temperature instruments, valves, and related process instruments
- Prior experience with industrial customers, EPCs, OEMs, or system integrators preferred
