**Supplier Audits \& Qualification:** Conduct process and quality management system (QMS) audits at supplier facilities. Evaluate their manufacturing capabilities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
**Defect Management \& Resolution:** Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using standard methodologies like 8D, Ishikawa, and 5\-Why. Track defect rates and enforce Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
**New Product Introduction (NPI):** Oversee parts approvals, such as the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), to ensure a safe, defect\-free launch of new products.
**Performance Tracking:** Monitor supplier metrics (e.g., PPM, delivery performance, defect rates) and establish regular reporting to upper management.
**Process Improvements:** Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on process improvements, measurement systems (MSA), and quality tools.
*Qualifications \& Requirements**
**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
**Experience:** Typically, 5 to 8\+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality assurance roles.
**Technical Skills:** Deep knowledge of quality tools and concepts, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and GD\&T.
