Job Summary

The System Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the hospital's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, computers, printers, software applications, and security systems. The role ensures uninterrupted IT operations to support patient care, clinical services, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices.
Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system\-related issues.
Provide technical support to doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
Manage user accounts, email systems, and access permissions.
Ensure smooth functioning of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMR/EHR applications, and other healthcare software.
Perform regular system backups and data recovery activities.
Monitor network performance and implement security measures to protect hospital data.
Install and update operating systems, antivirus software, and security patches.
Configure and maintain printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other IT peripherals.
Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software support.
Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and system logs.
Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies and data security standards.
Support CCTV, IP telephony, and Wi\-Fi infrastructure as required.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience

2 to years of experience in System Administration, Network Administration, or IT Infrastructure Support.
Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts.
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud\-based solutions.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and endpoint security.
Troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills.
Excellent communication and user support abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle critical system issues.
