**Bachelor's degree** (B.E./B.Tech) in **Civil Engineering**, **Environmental Engineering**, or a closely related field (essential).
**Master's degree** (M.Tech/M.E.) in **Water Resources Engineering**, **Hydraulics**, **Environmental Engineering**, or **Public Health Engineering** is highly preferred or required for senior roles.
*Experience Level**
**Mid\-level**: 4–8 years of relevant experience in water supply / distribution system design and modeling.
**Senior\-level**: 8–12\+ years, especially if handling complex/large\-scale projects (e.g., town\-level networks, transmission mains, treatment plants).
