Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Publishing House

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations for a leading publishing house in Nashik and surrounding territories. The candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing channel partners, developing relationships with educational institutions, and expanding market presence for the company's publications and learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and revenue targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and brand visibility.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, booksellers, and channel partners.
- Build strong connections with schools, colleges, educational institutions, and key decision\-makers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and gather market intelligence.
- Lead, guide, and support the sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables.
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of sales experience, preferably in publishing, educational products, FMCG distribution, or channel sales.
- Proven experience in territory management and distributor handling.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship\-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Nashik and nearby regions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in educational publishing, academic books, competitive exam publications, or school curriculum products.
- Existing network among schools, colleges, distributors, and booksellers in Maharashtra.

- Fixed Salary: ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month
