DGVS is a registered non\-governmental and non\-profit organization established in 1986, committed to empowering rural and underprivileged communities across India. The organization works in the areas of education, healthcare, women empowerment, livelihood generation, rural tourism, water conservation, youth skill development, elderly care, and community welfare.
DGVS is seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to oversee financial management, statutory compliance, audits, budgeting, and financial reporting for the organization. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, donor compliance, and effective utilization of organizational funds.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical abilities, expertise in taxation and audit processes, and experience in managing financial operations, preferably within the NGO or development sector.
- Oversee and manage the organization’s accounting and financial operations
- Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and budget reports
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, FCRA, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations
- Lead internal and external audit processes and coordinate with auditors
- Monitor fund utilization, donor reporting, and project\-wise accounting
- Develop financial policies, controls, and compliance procedures
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory documentation
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Coordinate with banks, government authorities, consultants, and funding agencies
- Support grant management and donor financial reporting requirements
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective measures
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to NGO financial standards
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience *(NGO/development sector experience preferred)*
- Strong knowledge of taxation, auditing, financial management, and statutory compliance
- Experience in handling FCRA compliance and donor\-funded projects is preferred
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and financial management systems
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision\-making skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in NGO accounting and donor reporting
- Knowledge of financial regulations applicable to non\-profit organizations
- Strong team management and coordination skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Problem\-solving and strategic financial planning capabilities
Pay: ₹15,000\.00 \- ₹25,000\.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow)
