Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and manage the company's overall manufacturing and operational activities.

The selected candidate will be responsible for improving plant performance, ensuring production efficiency, controlling manufacturing costs, maintaining quality and safety standards, and leading Plant Heads and Factory Managers across manufacturing operations.

The candidate should have strong experience in steel manufacturing or related heavy industries, with proven capabilities in managing large\-scale plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall manufacturing operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
• Monitor plant performance, production efficiency, capacity utilization, and product quality.
• Lead and supervise Plant Heads, Factory Managers, and operational teams.
• Improve manufacturing productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Oversee production planning, maintenance, procurement coordination, inventory, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure proper implementation of preventive maintenance systems.
• Maintain workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable statutory and environmental regulations.
• Monitor production costs, energy consumption, material utilization, and operational budgets.
• Implement process improvements, standard operating procedures, and operational performance monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to achieve organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
• MBA or relevant management qualification will be an added advantage.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience in steel manufacturing, metals, foundry, or heavy engineering industries.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in senior manufacturing or multi\-plant operations leadership.
• Experience in managing Plant Heads, Factory Managers, and large manufacturing teams.
• Strong understanding of steel manufacturing processes, production planning, maintenance, quality control, and safety management.
• Knowledge of cost optimization, manpower management, inventory control, and statutory compliance.
• Strong leadership, decision\-making, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
