Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail\-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Mehsana, Gujarat. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate fabrication drawings, developing tank designs, creating Bills of Materials (BOM), and supporting production activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in AutoCAD, fabrication drawing preparation, and coordination with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop SS (Stainless Steel) and MS (Mild Steel) tank drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), assembly, and part drawings.
• Interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
• Convert design concepts into fabrication\-ready drawings.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) with material specifications.
• Generate drawings for cutting, fitting, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
• Ensure accuracy of dimensions, tolerances, and technical details in drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to resolve drawing\-related queries.
• Provide technical support to the shop floor during fabrication and assembly activities.
• Maintain drawing records, revision history, and document control.
• Ensure all drawings are complete, accurate, and ready for production.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in design engineering or fabrication drawing preparation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, sheet metal, and tank manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in preparing BOMs and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SS/MS fabrication projects.
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality control processes.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and drafting practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
