• *Job Summary**

We are looking for an experienced **Design Lead** to manage the design and engineering of pharmaceutical high\-purity water systems, including Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Steam, pretreatment and distribution systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in process engineering, equipment design, piping systems, engineering documentation and pharmaceutical industry standards. The role involves leading design activities, coordinating with cross\-functional teams, supporting validation and ensuring successful project execution.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Lead the design and engineering of pharmaceutical high\-purity water systems, including PW, WFI, Clean Steam, pretreatment, decontamination and distribution systems.
• Prepare and review P\&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings and piping isometrics.
• Develop equipment specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Perform process calculations, hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing and piping design based on customer User Requirement Specifications (URS).
• Ensure compliance with ASME BPE, GMP, ISPE, FDA guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11 and applicable pharmaceutical engineering standards.
• Support validation activities, including DQ, IQ, OQ, FAT, SAT and Computer System Validation (CSV).
• Coordinate with Sales, Projects, Procurement, Production, QA/QC, Automation and Commissioning teams.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Develop and review engineering designs using AutoCAD and 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers and ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
• Review vendor drawings, technical documentation and fabrication requirements.
• Support skid fabrication, vessel design, heat exchanger drawings and automation documentation.

• *Required Qualifications and Skills**

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical high\-purity water systems, process equipment or related engineering applications.
• Strong knowledge of PW, WFI, Clean Steam and associated distribution systems.
• Hands\-on experience preparing P\&IDs, GA drawings, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of process calculations, hydraulic design, equipment sizing and piping engineering.
• Proficiency in **AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor)**.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical engineering standards such as ASME BPE, GMP, ISPE and FDA guidelines.
• Experience supporting DQ, IQ, OQ, FAT and SAT documentation.
• Strong technical leadership, problem\-solving, communication and cross\-functional coordination skills.

• *Preferred Candidate Profile**

Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical water treatment systems, high\-purity process equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical utility systems, skid\-mounted equipment or related engineering industries will be preferred.

Experience leading design teams, managing multiple projects and coordinating with clients and manufacturing teams will be an added advantage.
